Alphonso Colbert 6/22/1983 - 4/17/2004
Alphonso Colvert Unsolved Murder 4/17/2004
Fonzie Colbert 6/22/1983 - 4/17/2004

Fonzie was driving a car in the 200 Block of Greenwich Street April 17th, 2004, aprox. 11:50PM when he got out of his car and left the engine running. He was seen with a group of people at that time. A few minutes later he was shot in the back as he tried to run away from at least one assailant.

Fonz,
Keep watching over your beautiful mom
 and children.
I wonder if these silent witnesses
have any idea
of what they are putting them through..

Fonzie collapsed on the sidewalk near Third and Greenwich Streets. He  died a short time later at Reading Hospital. Police learned that Fonsie was  stabbed nearly a dozen times, possibly before he got out of his car and  was shot at close range with a shotgun.

Information
“We strongly believe the actors responsible for this
were from the immediate neighborhood,”

“We know at the very least there were anywhere from
eight to 15 people present
during that initial altercation and stabbing.”
The shooter reportedly was a
Latino in his 20s,
with a shirt or towel wrapped
around his head.
There are many witnesses,
all of whom have stood silent
for more than four years.
COME CLEAN!
JUSTICE FOR FONZIE!

There were alot of people there..
the night Alphonso was stabbed and shot.

Isn't it time to talk?
Stop this horrible crime on the streets!
You are not being cool with your
"stop snitching attitudes".
You are only allowing the criminals to control our streets.
Be an American, stand up and do the right thing.

200 Block of Greenwich Street where Fonzie left his car running
Police believe there is likely more than one assailant. There were footprints on the hood, roof and trunk of the car and the front and rear  windows were stomped in. How could all this damage be done to a car and no one hears anything?
"Others who also wouldn’t give their names
said a disagreement about a woman
may have sparked the murder."
And What Will Spark The Truth?

The Reading Eagle Article Dated April 19, 2004

What happened to the group of people that saw
Fonzie when he got out of his car?
Why isn't anyone speaking out?
A young man's life was taken.

Someone out there knows and saw what happened. Fonzie wasn't even 21 years old. The truth needs to be told.
