Gary W. Redner
Gary was a Son, a Father, a Grandfather, a Friend. He was a fantastic drummer. You could classify him as a professional. He was that good.  A music man- and a family man.

Gary W. Redner, 55, was killed between 7 p.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. Sunday at his house in the 400 block of Reber’s Bridge Road in State Hill, Lower Heidelberg Township. 

Gary was executive vice president of Redner's Markets and procurement and director of wholesale operations.

Gary had been in a tavern less than a quarter-mile
from his house the night before he was found dead.

Authorities said they were not aware of any dispute

$9,000 added to the reward was made possible by donations from Guido M. Pichini, chief executive of Security Guards Inc., Wyomissing, and Hamid B. Chaudhry, owner of the Exeter Township and Kenhorst Dairy Queen restaurants.

Reward Increased to $111,000.00 For Information Leading to An Arrest for Gary's Murder

increased to $100,000
  • Leon Snyder, owner of Snyder Construction Inc. of Fleetwood, gave the organization a $5,000 checking, bringing the total reward to $100,000, Barry Rohrbach, organization president, said.
  • Last week a group of anonymous donors added $5,000 to the previous $90,000 reward, which has increased nearly every week since the March 9 slaying.
    The reward also includes
  • $5,000 from Phipps Label Co. of Sinking Spring.
  • $5,000 from Kozloff Stoudt Attorneys, Wyomissing
  • $10,000 from Crime Alert Berks County. 
  • $35,000 from Redner’s Markets Inc.

  • $10,000 from the Redner family.

"I wish we could have closure on this thing for the family," Rohrbach said. "This investigation is costing a lot of money with all of the state troopers working on it. That’s why it’s so important that someone calls in with information that leads to an arrest. Then they can wrap up the case and end the investigation."
