Drunken driver gets prison for killing Exeter man in crash

'She made a choice,' victim's stepdaughter tells court about woman who drove drunk

A 28 year old Amity Township woman was taken away in handcuffs to serve three to six years in state prison for the crash that killed Harry L. Seward, 62, of Exeter Township on Nov. 8, 2010. She pleaded guilty to homicide by vehicle while drunk and drunken driving.

Harry Seward's stepdaughter told Judge John Boccabella that her stepfather wasn't killed in an accident.

"She made a choice, She drank too much. She decided to get behind the wheel, and she killed somebody. It's tragic to us that he died alone on a highway. He was completely alone. There was nobody to comfort him. She killed him right there on a lonely country road.

There's no way to make it any better for us."
