Police ID body, say it was homicide

Police were called to Maple Street about 5:50 p.m. to investigate reports of a male struck in the head with a bottle.

Officers found Cabassa-Bracero's body in a nearby alley, with an apparent stab wound.


 
28 - year - old man stabbed to death in city
The initial calls were for a man struck in the head with a bottle, but when police arrived they found Cabassa-Bracero dead of a stab wound.
Police said the attack happened on the street or sidewalk.

Police make arrest in stabbing homicide
Reading police arrested a 24-year-old city man after being spotted in a vehicle and followed him to Fifth Street Highway and George Street in Muhlenberg Township. He was charged with first-degree murder and related offenses. It was the 19th homicide this year in Berks, 11 of which were in the city.
