Josie moved out of her parents home.
Sept. 19, 1989
Josie told case workers at Berks County Children and Youth services that her adoptive father had been sexually abusing
her.
Sept. 20, 1989
Josie's step father shot her as she walked home from Reading High School.
Josie spent 11 years in assisted care living confined to a wheel chair.
November 20, 2000
Josie's life ended in a hospital after suffering respiratory distress.
