Lucy was a past president of the Women’s Club of Wyomissing Hills. She was a volunteer for 20 years for the Reading and Berks County Meals on Wheels program.
She was a 1946 graduate of Central Catholic High School and was married to her husband for 59 years. Their devotion to each other was known to all who knew them.
Lucy will be missed by all who knew her.
Lucy and her husband were attacked with a hammer inside their home @ Stone Hill Farms, a development off Paper Mill Road, Spring Twp.
"There is absolutely no known motive," Berks County District Attorney John T. Adams said at a news conference. "This was a senseless act of violence perpetrated on an elderly couple."

Man sentenced for fatal hammer attack
A Shippensburg man with a history of mental illness was sentenced in Berks County Court to 30 to 60 years in state prison for February 2011 hammer attacks that killed an 83-year-old Spring Township woman and critically injured her 86-year-old husband.
In exchange for his guilty pleas, Assistant D.A. Dennis J. Skayhan agreed to a request from Assistant Public Defender Vanessa L. Bellino to not file murder charges against Carrero if James Born dies of injuries related to the attack.
