The Birth of Years of Tears

Impossible is a word to be found only in the dictionary of fools. - Unknown

OUR INSPIRATION
berks county unsolved murder, Jason Stief
Jason Stief's murder has inspired his mother Tina to fight for justice and find those responsible for executing her son.
Miriam Acevedo's sister Ivette needs to find answers to how her sister's dead body ended up inside a city row home.
Gary's friend Brenda plans to keep a promise she made more than 10 years ago to find those responsible for her friend's murder.

With the combined efforts of three determined & persistent women, the birth of Years of Tears started to materialize in April of 2006.

Ivette Mercado ~ Sister of Miriam Acevado that was found dead inside a burned out building in Reading with suspicions of how she died & also who put her body in the building.

Brenda Cullen ~ Friend of Gary Miller that was tragically murdered as he was told to meet someone at the Parking lot of a business on Rte 222.

Tina M. Stief ~ Mother of Jason Eric Stief that was ambushed & executed by 5 "persons" for his willingness to step forward & testify against one of the "persons" he recognized in a botched home invasion the week before in which his friend Miquel (Mike) Colon was murdered.

Realizing that the Law Enforcement Agencies hands are tied unless witnesses come forward with valid information these three women decide to help & take a stand against the vermin that is saturating our streets of Reading & Berks County with the blood of our loved ones.

We each have endured the most unimaginable tragedy that anyone could ever endure.  If one person is removed from the streets due to the information on this web site, that is one less victim murdered, one less murderer walking the streets.

We seek justice not only for our loved ones, but for all the victims over the years that have had their voices silenced well before their time.

We will continue to add names to the murder lists if need be, but if people start talking and helping, our lists should not grow! The criminals need to know that we are UNITED to get rid of them. There is power in numbers.

Stand with us NOW, so that you do not have to stand by our sides later.

The price to be a member of this group is too high a price to pay, and it is unrefundable.
