The 2012 National Crime Victims’ Rights Week poster celebrates the 2012 theme, "Extending the Vision: Reaching Every Victim."
The theme is inspired by the vision of the 1982 President’s Task Force Report on Victims of Crime that launched 30 years of progress for those harmed by crime.
This vision entails comprehensive, enforceable victims’ rights; responsive, informed victim services; just compensation and financial support; and a universal commitment to restoring victims’ lives. It recognizes the massive impact of crime on individuals, families, and entire communities, and recommits the nation—despite economic, political, geographic, and demographic challenges—to reach and substantially support every victim in need.
