Rene was terrorized for months by "people" because he had tried to help a friend. He was beaten several months before his murder & pressed charges against the accused. Out of desperation & for protection, Rene purchased a gun & a bulletproof vest. The night of Rene's murder, his murderer chased him across the street. With Rene's hands in the air to signify he did not want any trouble, he was shot multiple times. He did not have the heart to use his gun.
