When our forefathers wrote the Constitution,
they did not know that what they wrote to
protect innocent people could be turned
inside out to protect those who commit
crimes against innocent people.


                          Miranda Warning

You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to speak to an attorney, and to have an attorney present during any questioning. If you cannot afford a lawyer, one will be provided for you at government expense.


Miranda Warning is a warning given by police to criminal suspects in police custody, or in a custodial situation, before they are asked questions relating to the commission of a crime. 

  The Miranda warnings were mandated by the 1966 United States Supreme Court
decision in the case of Miranda V. Arizona as a means of protecting a criminal suspect's fifth amendment right to avoid coercive self-incrimination.
If the perpatrator does not understand these rights, they will be explained to them in detail.

Our VICTIMS do not have this luxury.


They have the right to remain silent..
Our loved ones will forever be silent.

Anything they say can be used against them.
Our victims can't talk or they would.

They have the right to hire an attorney.
Our victims have one appointed for them.

They have the right to appeal..
We don't have that right.

They have the right to plea bargain..
Our victims don't have any options.

They have the right to a speedy trial..
Sometimes we wait years just for an arrest.

They can over turn a verdict..
Our victims can't move.

They can have visitation from family & friends.
We visit graves. 

They can serve time and be released.
Our victims are serving life sentences in a grave.

 
SO, What is Justice?
Where is it? When does it happen?
While the police investigate?
After an arrest?
Through the media?
During the hearings, postponements,
trials and court date?
The verdict?
The sentencing?

 
 
Something is very wrong.
Many of the people making our laws & upholding them do not understand what it feels like to be a VICTIM.
It must be more than a job.
We didn't ask for any of this and wouldn't wish it
on our worst enemy....
Yet, here we are...
Waiting for JUSTICE.

Our Victims had the right to life,
liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
