The Rize Program is hosting a free forum to address the violence in the community. The students from the RIZE Program are bringing together students, parents, teachers, staff, administrators, community members, government officials and business owners to tackle common concerns about the violence in their community.

The RIZE Program - Stop Violence through the Arts provides local youth opportunities to learn the media arts also to raise awareness and give young people the tools to appropriately identify and express emotions that can lead to violence if left unchecked.

The RIZE program provides dramatic examples of how the arts can provide young people with alternatives to violence, turning anger and confusion into creative expression, leading to job and life skills. Our goal is the reduce violence in the City of Reading
