Man shot in back, killed outside city bar
Police: Victim struck in back while in his SUV near Penn Street; no one in custody
A forensic pathologist in Reading Hospital, determined that Oliver died of a gunshot wound to the back. The death was ruled a homicide.

Oliver left a nearby tavern and got into a vehicle parked on the opposite side of Penn Street. He drove into the lot next to the bar and backed into a space.

A short time later, several people came out of the bar as it was closing. Some of the people were seen standing next to the SUV, talking to Oliver.

It was unknown what the conversation was about or if there was an argument, but at some point shots were fired.
