Domestic Violence Bern Twp. June 21, 1996 20 yr old Maidencreek Township woman shot and killed her estranged boyfriend and his father. She shot herself as police were about to arrest her. She remained in a coma for ten years, until her death in 2006. Chad Mertz, 22
